In 1989 Megan Bawden forms a duo, Busload Of Faith, with John Rowell [ex-The Models]. By late 1991, the thirty one year old songwriter asks Tony Pola [Surrealists, Beasts of Bourbon] and Warren Ellis to join her 'acoustic rock' band. By end 1992 they will have done about 65 shows in Melbourne.

December 1992 "I played in Busload Of Faith and I was thrown out of them for taking a piss during the middle of a show, though there had been a bit of internal friction in there as well." Warren Ellis in Party Fears #19, 1994.
Busload Of Faith continues in 1993 with a new line-up: Megan Bawden (vocals)/ John Bone (violin/keyboard)/ Nick Rischbeith [Sacred Cowboys] (bass) and Stefan Fidock [Reels/Sacred Cowboys] (drums).
