Chronology: a chronological overview of known concert dates (some with setlists and/or ads),
dates of studio recordings, all line-ups and other trivia related to the American/English band Fur Bible.
Date format is DD-MMM-YY.

-Information in grey italics is uncertain-

Listen to Kid Congo's great oral history (recorded 2005) of Fur Bible taken from Newyorknighttrain whilst reading this chronology.

1985
The year in which Kid and Patricia attempt to form Fur Bible, and in the meantime support the Legendary Stardust Cowboy.

Early '84. Los Angeles: Kid Congo Powers and Patricia Morrison (then both still member of the Gun Club and tired of Jeffrey's antics) think about leaving the Gun Club and forming Fur Bible even before recording the Gun Club's "Las Vegas Story" album, but they decide to do the album and the US and European tours first.

January 1985. London: Patricia and Kid had met Tex Perkins during the Gun Club's Australian tour of October 1983. Tex was the singer in the, then recently formed, Beasts Of Bourbon with amongst others Spencer P.Jones, who did guitar on the Gun Club's tour. Kid had written Tex a letter asking him to come over and start a new band, Fur Bible. However, Tex, with long hair and no return ticket is stopped by immigration police at Heathrow airport and put on a flight straight to Manila (Philippines). After being stuck for 2 days at the airport Tex managed to contact Australian friends (James Baker [The Scientists] and Roger Grierson) who provide him with enough funds to return to Sydney. While the Kid and Patricia await Tex's second attempt they get a gig in the Netherlands as backing band for The Legendary Stardust Cowboy, to pay off the Dutch promoter Willem Venema, who had put up the money for Tex Perkins' travel. At the same time Kid has work permit problems and could not return to London (UK) until June 1985, thus staying in Amsterdam.

In 1979 Peter Kablean [a.k.a. Desi Desperate] used to drum for the Mystery Girls, a band from Slough, England. They release two singles Sounds Like The Mystery Girls ('79) and "I'm A Believer" ('81). Desperate had been the Gun Club's drummer on their November/December 1984 tour, just after Terry Graham had left for good. Desi Desperate is hired as drummer.

LSC line-up (Europe, April + October 1985):
Legendary Stardust Cowboy [Norman Carl Odam a.k.a. the Ledge] (vocals, bugle, acoustic guitar)/ Kid Congo Powers (guitar)/ Patricia Morrison (bass, Dolly Parton wig) and Desi Desperate [a.k.a. Peter Kablean] (drums).

Note: Last ever Fur Bible concert. Fur Bible had sixty dates booked when Patricia pulled out, to join up with Andrew Eldridge in The Sisters of Mercy.

London 1986. Kid is asked to join Nick Cave's Bad Seeds in September 1986 and relocates to Berlin. During the tour with Siouxsie, Patricia was contacted by Andrew Eldritch, asking her to join The Sisters of Mercy. She performed vocals on the 1986 album "Gift" (released under the group name The Sisterhood).

In the 2nd half of 1987 Peter Kablean did some stuff with Alison Moyet, before joining Nikki Sudden and Rowland S. Howard's live touring band for their gigs in UK and Europe (1987). Later he played with Steve New [Rich Kids, Sex Pistols, Visage], and John Perry and Peter Perret [The Only Ones] and had his own band Revolvers in the early '90's, that Jeffrey Lee Pierce was to produce. In later years he would drum for Genie In The Jukebox (2010), Diatribe Music (2012) and Rock N Roll Etc (2014). In 2016 Desi played for various bands with some old players who had been in groups including Rainbow, Tammy Wynette, Glen Campbell and the Tremeloes.
