Photo 1: Screen capture from video.
Photo 2: Photo shoot on the film set by Dave Tonge.
Video: Official video.
Note 1: " “Fucking hell! That’s a one-take video. Nothing is rehearsed at all except we sit on this ‘love seat’. We didn’t know each other well, and this thing happens while we’re making the video. There’s a certain awkwardness, and afterwards it’s like, oh...” So you were beginning the relationship in this three-minute video? “Yeah, exactly.” " Nick Cave interviewed by Simon Hattenstone for The Guardian 23-Feb-2008.
Note 2: "Photographer Dave Tonge was commissioned by Mute Records to shoot the cover of the single , which provided a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into the making of the promo video. According to Dave Tonge, the photoshoot took place on a freezing January afternoon. During the shoot, PJ Harvey appeared on set, creating an almost electric atmosphere. Tonge describes witnessing a palpable connection between the two artists: “Nick Cave stiffened, [...]. They laughed and joked together—these two were smokin’!” Their chemistry, both on and off-camera, was undeniable."(Source: fromthearchives.org)
Note 3: Camera by Lisa Rinzler. Rocky surname on the clapper board is written as "Scherick". Schenck had directed the "Where The Wild Roses Grow" promo music video the year before.

1x-Apr-97 West-London,-
Note: Rehearsals for the upcoming tour. "We were rehearsing today [14-Apr-97] in fact. It's a tall order... we're trying to put the songs from the new album into a set, work on our older songs and do a different sort of concert. [...] We've been doing a similar type of concert for some time, so the idea with this tour is to do something different. We've tried to book venues around Europe that will suit the kind of concert we're trying to put together, but it's all guess work in a way: what will work and what kind of concert it will be. We're still not sure ourselves. As to whether the venues will suit the shows... you get faxed floor and seating plans, and then you have to decide from that. But we did know for sure that a 4000 capacity, standing room only, 'rock venue' wasn't going to be the right place. [...] It's certainly not an unplugged affair. It's just that the new material is reduced, and we're trying to play at a lower volume on stage, to give room for the newer songs. Unlike before, I'm only playing acoustic guitar on a couple of songs. The shows will be more controlled, for want of a better word. " Mick Harvey interviewed for The Witness #1 (Spring 1997).

Note: "This poster was created for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds for a show at the 5th Avenue Theater in Seattle. This gig got pretty rowdy. Nick told an audience member to defy a security guard who tried to stop him from leaving his seat and approaching the stage [during "From Her To Eternity"]. Nick welcomed the guy to come up and dance in front of the stage. Once he did, people rushed the stage to do the same. Security couldn’t stop them. Chairs were ripped out of the floor and ruined. Afterward, the 5th Ave Theater announced they’d never host another rock concert, and they haven’t since 1998." From Justin Hampton's "Visual Feast" (2025). Theatre capacity 2,100. Sold-out show.
